Hello fellow handpan lovers!
I'm new to the forum and my first post is a bit depressing... but here it goes...
I recently left my Dii handpan in Golden Gate Park on Friday 10/9. I was parked
at the corner or Hagiwara Dr. and Martin Luther King/9th st. How could such a thing
happen you ask? I asked myself the same thing and I guess I just packing my car in too much of a
hurry after a gig. I had LOTS of instruments and gear on me and I didn't double check before
taking off? Lame, but so it goes. Anyhow, If anyone comes across or has any information please
let me know. It was inside of a large black Zildjian cymbal bag(yes, they fit handpans) and was last seen
next to a middle aged white male in a wheel chair trying to get the attention of a park worker or official
who could put it in the right place. I've checked in with everyone in the park and museums, but still no
other leads. It's a Hexatonic Minor I believe? Anyway it's tuned to (F) A# C C# D# F G G# A# and can be
heard at my bandcamp website on the songs "The Forest King" "Journey to Ruga" and "Speaking in Tongues".
This is one of two handpans that I own and an everyday gigging instrument. Anyhow, please be on the
lookout for this instrument which has a bronzish hue. here is a short video of Stevan Morris playing it
the day I picked it up...
