Shabda Pan

It has already been pointed out here that some renowned music vendors are sometimes showing out weird instruments they call themselves handpans.


A new one, pretty nice looking , recently appeared by Pick & Boch, Lyon, France.
They call it "Shabda Pan". No video so far.

It's supposed to have been built in France but comes from Asia. Unable to know were from exactly.

Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to hear it other than by phone, which, I grant you, cannot be a test. So, the only thing I could tell about my feeling is... well... Sounds may be better than my kitchen bowl But that's my own point of vue. May be some of you guys, had the opportunity to know more about it?

Maybe Fredolamasse could give it a try as he is located in Lyon... if he gets a chance...
If I pass by P&B one day I'll give it a try and attempt to record the result with my Zoom H4n... but no trip planned there for now... First though it that it will sound bad... but you never know!

I'll try to go see it if i'm in Lyon, but seeing the coating i'm not convinced...
Should sound like a bali...i have some doubt when i see coating on soundculptures.
