Anyone else have anything to add on the topic of handpan tracking devices, maybe?

I wonder how much it costs. :hmm:

ETA- It's around 500 pounds- So it might be worthwhile for shipping handpans if the recipient ships it back to be reused. (200 pounds without the service agreement)

well, i always feel my handpan more like a pet with its own personality, than an object,
so that wouldnt be totally unappropiate... :giggle:

I got a tracker for an adult, very "selfstanding"-dog.
I got it for € 60,- wich is cheap - the whole thing feels a bit "cheap"-plastic too, but works!

We should get a fund going to make these devices to send to pan makers (as well as players). One could be placed inside each pan bag, and tracked online. While another one could be permanently placed inside of the handpans. This could allow players to know if their pan is in their bag, and even allow for tracking during shipping. I think if we may be welded the trackers onto the bottom half of pans thief's would a) have a hard time knowing there was one in the first place, and b) make it harder to remove.

We'd have to pay for the service for the phone, as well as the phone itself though

. I think in the long run it'd be cheaper to use normal trackers. That is if we account the electricity costs to charge the phones.
