For Michael Many of you will know Michael as one of the gentlest and kindest members of this community. It is with deep sadness that I must tell you that he has recently been diagnosed with multiple brain tumours that are inoperable, and that he is currently undergoing treatment with a very uncertain outcome.
I spoke with him two days ago and I was so incredibly touched by his courage and positivity in the face of such a challenge. He is doing all he can to live each moment as it comes, spending hours in deep meditation and surrounding himself with positive energy. He is staring into the darkness and seeing only light, in a way that I can only describe as truly inspirational. He has made peace with everything that is happening in a way that simply astounds me and brings tears to my eyes.
He has asked that his two favourite players, Lauri and Zoltan will play for him in his home, and I have just heard back from Lauri that he would love to do this. Thank you Lauri.
I ask you to join me in sending loving thoughts to him in these testing times, that he may feel our support, and that it can help him maintain such a positive outlook and help him in any way possible.
