You might really want to wait and take a listen to the new Symphonic Steel, hopefully Sean will post some soon. Saw a few at Pantasia. Very bright and Halo sounding. The next lottery should hopefully be later this year if you can wait a bit (no guarantees, speculation on my part).

Thank you Snivy!
At the moment I´m thinking hard about a great opportunity I got. Madly calculating 8-)
Regarding Symphonic Steel I tried to contact Sean several times to ask for expected waiting time, price range etc. but never got an answer. In which price category are Symphonic Steel handpans generally?

You'll find that some makers may not respond to individual requests as they try to fill their previous commitments, this again is my my observation and advice to be patient if you don't hear from him (right away or at all). If you join his mailing list you'll know when the next lottery is going to be. I don't see any of the videos of his newest ones he brought to Joshua Tree but he's definitely changed a few things that I noticed from my early SS. And by the sound of it, I think you'll like it. Last I heard they were in the $2000 to $2500 range.
