Real ridiculous. I got the same thing and the email looks very familiar. The title of the person who sends the email would show up on the as engineer. Hope it all gets sorted

Its a shame .....But....too many things wrong with ebay.... on a pan I will bid a makers auction..... and send him bank draft only because I know him.......I want to quart the makers like a girlfriend ... to the point its a trust both ways.... and I will and have done without....... to much money to even take a chance buying from someone I don't know ....

That why I will go all in with halo vision...and saraz ..and spb........I feel for any that get got ....But I been saying this forever. .....too many people here have had nightmares ... its just not worth the chance...

The above thread in the scamwarners forum is what I found during my research. It is indeed very likely that there's a security leak on Ebay's side. The problem will be taking it up with ebay, trying to recover the money will probably not be easy. I suggest that you contact other victims, you might get valuable information from them and maybe you could work together on this.

An update to the situation. Innersound is denying that anything has happened, that I didn't send my money in. In the meantime they are changing the ebay account password. I am at a loss here for no sympathy or some compensation here. So with that being said, I would recommend to not buy anything from Innersound directly or through ebay. Right now I am talking with ebay to see what they can do.

According to what Michael and Astrantia have found, you may have been contacted by an extrenal scammer. The question is now about eBay security : how did the scammer find your email address to send you what seems to be a fake second chance offer ? It should be the base of your complaint to eBay.

I am not sure how they got my email address when its protected by a name that no one could know other then the seller. From what I am getting as far as replies that they are not responsible for what happened to me. I just don't know what to do now. This defeat is hurting right now and I would like some resolution whether it be my money back or a handpan. I am one who does not like to hurt or cause trouble. I have filed with Internet Crime Complain Center but not sure how long that will take. I am open for suggestions on how to proceed here.

You are correct on that. It looks like this: m***a To keep eBay a safe place for buyers and sellers, member-specific information is not displayed in the bid history. So it looks to me that somehow the perpetrator got into the account and got the information to do this heinous act. It remains to be seen if something will be done with this.
